Shiloh talks about his rescue by Doc and LouLou.

My first book, Shiloh is Found , tells the entire story about how I was “thrown away” by someone in a pickup truck during a very cold December night! I don’t remember much before that time, because I was just a little pup of 7 lbs. and 7 weeks old. I just know that I wiggled myself onto a big stretch of land, hoping someone would see me to warm me up!

When the sun came up the air was not much warmer than it was during the night, but, in my ice cold ears, I heard a faint roaring sound. When I looked up through my tears, I saw a big, metal thing that looked like a bird headed right for me! I was afraid it might swoop me up and I would never be seen again!

To my surprise, the metal bird opened, and a tall man hopped out to walk toward me. When he scooped me up in his arms, I was so happy to feel all that human warmth and security!

Margaret Mobley (LouLou) and I wrote a story for the Doggie-Diva Dog Boutique BLog about my thoughts on rescuing a dog for Christmas.

I think everyone should know how much we appreciate people who rescue poor lost doggies and I hope you will read my story.

I met Frank when I was a tiny puppy because Doc and LouLou took me to Spanky’s on the River to show me off!
Frank, Freddie and Cheryl were so cute to let me sneak into the bar so I could get cuddles and kisses from Doc and LouLou’s friends.

I saw Frank a lot during my growing up years because I rode with Doc and LouLou in the VW Bug to park in front of Spanky’s while they had dinner at the restaurant.
Frank came to my house in town to draw a huge picture of me on the bathroom wall. It is the one with me in the bathtub from Shiloh is Found.
When Frank opened his own restaurant, Tappas by Anna, in City Market, he let me join Doc and LouLou on the outdoor patio and I got to chill under the table while everyone had great Italian food and wine!
He read every single one of my books with his two boys while he illustrated every single page of the books to let you know what was happening as you read, or someone read to you.
I love the way he made me look so cute and even made me bigger as I grew up during the books’ stories.
I think Frank was one of my bestest friends in the world and I will miss him until I cross over  the Rainbow Bridge. I know that I will meet him again in heaven and that we will play and paint more pictures someday.
